Dear J. Crew,
For the past few years you have made me sad because I think you some how forgot to have fun. Your clothes seemed rather uninspired and moreso, designed for tall, skinny women who really love a crewneck. This is not my body type and every time I tried to like you again, I just couldn’t find anything that worked for me. I know you’ve always have done classic, but you’ve also had whimsy in there previously, which is what I gravitate towards. I like the ruffles, bows and little details that make a piece of clothing just a bit more interesting.
Your 40% off make me take another look this holiday season and when I saw the silver, shimmery top with huge black bows in the back I decided to give it a try.
So happy I did! Love the cut, the back, the half sleeves and have received many compliments. I decided to go ahead and try one of your other tops that looked interesting, pink gingham. When I received it in the mail I loved the bright, unapologetic pink, but was super delighted to find that the material was was so unique! Like what a tent is made of! Ha! Where others may gwak, I hung it up in my closet.
Thank you for refreshing and reviving, thinking of the shorter people who like to play with their clothes. I’m very optimistic about where our relationship is headed this year.
PS – I love the large earrings too!
